Experimental, ‘Musical’ Typeface

Qalto is a new design by Hungarian designer Áron Jancsó. Its high contrast characters have been crafted to display a unique optical rhythm that allows the typeface to “flow and leap like freestyle jazz.”
Suited to strong titles, the font includes some ligatures and looks as though it benefits from shifting the baseline of individual characters.
